Lab data
Animal Face potency: THC, CBD and terpenes from 335 lab tests
In 335 state lab tests, Animal Face flower had a median total THC of 24.49%, with the middle half of results between 21.20% and 27.44%, and 46.6% of tests reached 25% or more.1 CBD is negligible, and β-caryophyllene is the leading terpene.1

How published THC figures compare
Strain databases publish a range or a single figure: AllBud lists 18–26%, SeedFinder 20–30%, Weedmaps 25–30% and Leafly 30%.2,3,4,5 Listings for Carmel’s Canadian version go higher, 28–34% at the Ontario Cannabis Store.6 In state lab results, 90% of Animal Face flower tested below 29.54%, and the highest single result was 32.85%.1
Results differ by state: medians ran from 22.96% in Michigan (108 tests) to 30.47% in Maryland (43).1 Overall, the Animal Face median is the fourth-highest of the 43 strains with at least 100 tests in our dataset.1 Leafly names myrcene as the dominant terpene, then limonene and caryophyllene; in our 157 tests with individual terpene values, β-caryophyllene leads and myrcene ranks fourth by median.1,5 Leaf Magazine describes Rythm’s Animal Face as caryophyllene- and myrcene-dominant.7

Limits of this data
- Coverage is uneven. Nevada (157), Michigan (108), Maryland (43), Washington (23) supply most of the 335 tests, which date from 2018 to 2023. Yearly medians largely track which states reported (2018: all 7 from Washington; 2019: all 16 from Washington; 2020: 57 of 58 from Nevada; 2023: 43 of 51 from Maryland). Oregon and Rhode Island results carry no product names and could not be matched.
- Some labs report higher THC than others, so we publish medians and middle ranges rather than maxima. No single lab accounts for more than 34.3% of these tests (16 labs in total), but among the 184 tests that name a producer (Maryland and Michigan records name no producer), one producer supplied 60.9%.
- Terpene medians come from 157 tests with individual terpene values, all of them from Nevada labs. Maryland reports only total terpenes (43 tests), and Washington and Michigan report none.
- We matched names strictly: crosses and near-miss names (for example "Animal Face x Kush Mints", 30 results) are excluded and counted, and duplicate certificates are removed.
