How these numbers were collected
- Source: Weedmaps’ public product listings, captured on Oct 4, 2026 for one city per state, counting stores and deliveries within 50 miles and in the same state.1
- A menu item counts when its name contains "Animal Face" and it is sold as flower; crosses such as "Animal Face x Kush Mints" and pre-rolls are excluded.
- "Median eighth" uses only items sold as an eighth (3.5 g). Listed prices may or may not include tax, and deals are not applied.
- Only stores with a Weedmaps menu are counted, so a low count can reflect Weedmaps coverage rather than the market.
- Disclosure: Official Cannabis’s founder co-founded Weedmaps and remains a shareholder.
Where it sells
Sales data points east: Hoodie Analytics found Animal Face the top-selling strain across 14 East Coast markets in 2025, with especially strong showings in Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut, and in September 2026 The Marijuana Herald listed it as Maryland’s top seller.2,3 In the Weedmaps snapshot, the most store listings were around New York (46), Detroit (30), Newark (30) and Baltimore (28).1 In Canada, the Ontario Cannabis Store and BC Cannabis Stores list a version grown by Carmel.4,5
