Animal Face, also listed as Animal Face #10, is a hybrid of Face Off OG and Animal Mints bred by Seed Junky Genetics; Fig Farms’ cut won first place for indoor flower at the 2022 Emerald Cup, and it was the top-selling strain on the East Coast in 2025.1,2,3,4 It tests at a median total THC of 24.49% across 335 state lab tests of Animal Face flower, with the middle half of results between 21.20% and 27.44%.5 CBD is negligible: none of the 227 tests that reported CBD reached 1%.5

AllBud lists 60% sativa, ILGM 80%, and SeedFinder calls it mostly sativa, while Leafly rates its effects mostly calming and Weedmaps notes that cuts from some cultivators are sold as indica-leaning. Stronger than most strains in our data. The median total THC across 335 state lab tests was 24.49%, and 46.6% of tests reached 25% or more; that median is the fourth-highest of the 43 strains with at least 100 tests in our dataset.5 By state, medians ran from 22.96% in Michigan (108 tests) to 30.47% in Maryland (43).5 Leafly lists 30% and rates it higher in THC than average.1
Pine, fuel and mint, by most accounts. On Weedmaps, 44% of flavor reports say earthy, 32% diesel and 24% skunk; Leafly users list menthol, mint and diesel, and AllBud diesel, nutty, pine, sugary and sweet. Leafly credits the piney, gassy side to Face Off OG and a cookie-flavored smoothness to Animal Mints.1,2,6
Seed Junky Genetics, according to Leafly, Weedmaps, SeedFinder and High Times; SeedFinder says its founder, known as JBeezy, started Seed Junky in a small Southern California garage in the early 2000s. Fig Farms’ Animal Face, hunted from seed, won first place for indoor flower at the Emerald Cup on May 14, 2022, in the competition’s “OG & Gas” terpene class, a win SeedFinder says earned the strain even more fame.3,7 The next year Fig Farms placed it fifth, while Blue Face, a sister phenotype from the same Seed Junky seed pack, won the category and Best in Show.13,17
In sales, Hoodie Analytics found Animal Face the top-selling strain across 14 East Coast markets in 2025, and in the top 10 of six of them, more than any other strain, with especially strong showings in Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut; in September 2026 The Marijuana Herald listed it as Maryland’s top seller.4,18 It also sells in Canada, where the Ontario Cannabis Store and BC Cannabis Stores carry a version grown by Carmel.8,19
